Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion

Lector

A Lector's (or reader's) ministerial function is to proclaim God's word to His people during the Liturgy of the Word. The Lector reads the lesson from Sacred Scripture, except the Gospel, in the Mass and in other sacred celebrations, recites the psalms between the readings in absence of the psalmist, and presents the intentions for general intercessions.

One Lector is needed at each Mass to read both readings.  Lectors are scheduled on a rotating basis.  If you are interested in becoming a lector please call the parish office at 314-352-8100 or email [email protected].  Some training and formation will be provided.
