Reporting Suspected Abuse
The Archdiocese of St. Louis is committed to the prevention of abuse and assisting those who are affected by incidents of abuse. For purposes of this policy, abuse means the physical injury, sexual abuse or emotional abuse inflicted on a minor or vulnerable adult other than by accidental means, by those responsible for the minor or vulnerable adult's care, custody and control, or from persons who are agents or employees of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
In addition to contacting civil authorities, victims of sexual abuse are asked to come forward in order to receive pastoral assistance. Reports of abuse may be made to any pastor or to Sandra Price, Executive Director of the Office of Child and Youth Protection for the Archdiocese of St. Louis at 314-792-7271 or sandraprice@archstl.org.
